SESSU - South East Sector Skills Unit

The South East Sector Skills Unit (SESSU), previously SEEDA (South East of England Development Agency) Hub, comprises 5 NTOs (e-skills NTO, EMTA, CITB, Lantra and Skillset), led by NTO NC. SESSU is part of SEEDA’s South East Village, along with UfI (University for Industry), HESE, the Learning & Skills Development Agency (formerly FEDA), Skills Insight, British Trade International, and RAISE.

Our project commenced in February 2000 and runs for 14 months with the general aim of engaging the NTO’s industry sectors and the wider NTO network in the delivery of SEEDA’s Regional Economic Strategy. It is a flagship project for SEEDA, the first of its kind in the UK, and if successful is likely to become a role model for other Regional Development Agencies. The aim is to produce a collaborative workforce that will have a great impact on how the messages from SEEDA’s Skills Action Plan are achieved and delivered to those who count.
