Vocational Training / Offering Vocational Training

If you are an FE/HE institution, a training provider or an employer interested in offering the e-skills NTO NVQs/SVQs and AMA/FMA training programmes, you will need to do the following:

  • Find out more about these qualifications from the NTO by looking at the NVQ/SVQ and AMA/FMA sections on this website. For copies of the NVQ/SVQ standards and of the MA Framework with guidelines for implementation, go to Publications .
  • Become an accredited centre by contacting one of the e-skills NTO NVQs/SVQs awarding bodies. Go to Q Numbers & Awarding Bodies for a table showing the e-skills NTO NVQs/SVQs and corresponding awarding bodies and click here for the Awarding Bodies Contact Details .
  • Contact your local LSC, CETW, LEC or the TEA for information on funding:
    • Your local Learning and Skills Council (for England). On 1st April 2001, the Learning and Skills Council (LSC) took on the functions of the former Training and Enterprise Council (TEC) network and the funding responsibilities of the former Further Education Funding Council (FEFC).
    • The Council for Education and Training Wales . On 1st April 2001, the new National Council for Education and Training in Wales (CETW) together with the Higher Education Funding Council for Wales (HEFCW) became responsible for all post-16 education and training in Wales.
    • Your Local Enterprise Company (for Scotland) through Highlands & Islands Enterprise and Scottish Enterprise
    • The Training & Employment Agency (for Northern Ireland).
