IT4all Skills Needs

The e-skills NTO IT4all Skills Needs project proposes to investigate trends in business technology with international comparisons to establish defined targets and measurement processes for IT user skills improvement. It will provide authoritative skills intelligence defining UK-wide needs for IT user skills to all partners so they have the information they require to understand IT4all skills issues, inform and produce education and training policy.

Although there is some recent information on IT User skills gaps and shortages, there are problems with the consistency of information and the definitions of IT user skills. This means the message sent to employers and individuals about the importance and levels of IT skills in the workplace can be confused. We are currently aiming to provide a series of bulletins summarising new research.
