E-commerce Awards
Now in its third year, the e-commerce awards are organised by UK online for business, a DTI-led partnership between Industry and Government, which promotes the use of information and communication technologies, and InterForum, a not-for-profit campaign group of companies that helps British business to trade electronically.
The awards have been designed to recognise and reward those small companies that have demonstrated business excellence through the use of e-Commerce. E-Commerce could mean selling to the world via the Internet, or it could mean supplying a large retail chain with specialist products via automated electronic processes or integrating knowledge management systems into your business processes. Entries close at 5 pm Friday 18 May 2001 (except Wales - for which entries close at 5 pm Friday 11 May 2001).

Reminder! National Training Awards
The National Training Awards (NTAs) are the most sought after awards for training in the UK. Entry is free and the prestige of winning is considerable. The Awards are won by employers and individuals who demonstrate excellence in their use of training and development to bring business success.
The process of entering is valuable in itself as it helps businesses examine the way they operate and how effective their training programme is. For many entrants, the first step towards entering the National Training Awards is attending one of the workshops, which are run throughout the UK.
NTAs are promoted by the Department for Education and Employment (DfEE) as part of its Lifelong Learning strategy. The deadline for entering is 18 May 2001.
