e-skills NTO launches its IT4all programme
Leaders from industry, government and education are coming together to develop a coherent plan of action for IT user skills in the UK. This will be achieved through a nationwide series of high-profile hearings.
"IT4all: A Matter of Global Competitiveness" launches in the South East on 26 September with an Employer Hearing and Stakeholder Action Plan. Industry's needs in the IT user skills arena will be assessed, and an action plan produced to address those needs. The conference, to be held at Microsoft's office in Reading, is open to senior managers and decisionmakers from industry, education and training, and government.
Facilitated by the broadcaster Alastair Stewart, speakers will include the Minister for Adult Skills, the Rt. Hon. John Healey MP, and executives from Microsoft and Royal & SunAlliance, as well as a representative from the farming community. Group and plenary sessions will enable the views of all participants to be put forward. The conclusions of the event will guide priorities for regional and national action, and provide input to government policy and funding plans.
If you are an employer in the South East, make sure your sector is represented by registering. Numbers are limited, so early registration is recommended. Register online at
